Welcome to Class 4/5H

Welcome to Class 4/5H!

It’s a disaster

Vicious volcanoes, enormous earthquakes, terrifying tsunami and fearsome floods! These are some of the natural disasters we will be studying this term. We will be using a number of resources alongside our geographical knowledge, to explore why certain disasters occur and what actually makes a disaster.

Let’s get arty!

We are all very excited in Class 4/5H as we will be getting arty with Miss Capp from Cherry Willingham Community School. We will be creating a range of different models, using different materials using our ‘natural disasters’ topic as a starting point.

In science we will be looking at ‘living things and their habitats’ before moving on to ‘states of mater.’ We will be using our scientific knowledge to classify living things, create habitats for different creatures and study what makes something a solid, liquid or a gas.

As always, a piece of literacy or numeracy homework will be set each Friday to be handed in for marking every Thursday. In addition to this, weekly spellings and ongoing topic homework will also be continued.
